I know, call me crazy.
Each year after the last day of school, the boys and I create a list for summer. It’s full of things we would like to do as well as important family events. It includes things like swimming lessons, having a picnic in the park, cleaning out closets, going to an outdoor band concert, having a play date, making muffins, staying in a hotel, etc. It is a long list hung on the fridge, and after something is done, we cross it off. It is important to note we never cross them off until they are done. That’s the rule. First done, then crossed off.
Isaac started summer school June 18 and goes for 19 days. He’ll finish in mid-July. Monday morning as he was getting ready for school, he said, “Stay home.” I told him no.
