Some people think big moments will make a happy life, but I think the little moments are the most important ones.
When I say "little moments," this is what I mean:
The look on your nephew's face after he drives a go kart for the first time
Hearing a person say, "Thanks for having mustard for these sandwiches."
Giving someone a little vase of fresh flowers and seeing how their eyes light up
Finally having a shy kid warm up to you
Sitting outside with family in camping chairs, looking up at the night sky
Laughing so hard that you cry
Being wrapped in a warm blanket
Drinking a cup of coffee, preferably alone in silence
Running to Walgreens to buy bobby pins because your kid needs them to keep his graduation cap on his big noggin
Talking with your kid, heart to heart
Telling a good story
People showing up
Watching your kid do something he loves
Chatting with someone on a beautiful day in the shade while feeling a summer breeze
Sharing thoughts with a good friend
