Isaac hauled five suitcases upstairs and is now chilling. Earlier he told his brothers they had to go to the Rec Center tonight.
My email was down earlier. My computer won't allow me to login. Fun. I'm making pumpkin bars in a few minutes and pray my guy won't shut off the timer or the oven. He's been known to do both.
Isaac just checked the thermostat. I need to double check it because earlier this week he turned on our AC. In November. I had wondered why it was so cold in here.
Isaac's music is streaming 24/7. When the internet isn't available, his anxiety rises. Mine, too. One of the last songs played said something about "everything's going to be alright." The next one was "If you're going through hell, keep on going...you might get out before the devil even knows your name."
Isaac brought home this turkey yesterday from school, and I hung it on the kitchen cupboard. He doesn't tell me, but he must have made it during an art time. I'm grateful for my family and my life, and the school where Isaac feels most loved and comfortable.
Today the turkey looks a little frazzled. Its eye is missing, but I'm pretending it's winking at me.
