Yesterday, after having walked over three miles, I decided it was time to buy a McRib because they're available for a limited time only AND Isaac was at school, so I had a bit of freedom. There's something really nice about the combination of the tangy sauce, crunchy onions, and dill pickles that really hits the spot. It feels like seeing an old friend again.
Because I wanted to eat this sandwich hot and the dining room was closed, I crawled into the back seat of our van to prepare for the feast. Nobody could see me back there. I had paper plates and everything! These sandwiches can be messy. I felt like I was doing something illegal in hiding. I was surprised to see many other people eating in the parking lot, too. Most everyone else was either elderly or smoking heavily with their car windows rolled down.
The McRib was neither wonderful nor terrible. I enjoyed it a bit for a few moments. It wasn't as good as I remembered. I don't have any regrets, except for the terrible gas I'm experiencing today. I'm not eating another one until 2021.
Is anyone else a fan? It might just be me.
