Everything kind of hits me at once. There's a long list of stuff to do:
Holiday baking
Deciding what to bake for the holidays
Eating all the treats before I've had a chance to deliver them
Holiday cooking -- oh, what are we having for Xmas dinner if we are staying at home? Or going somewhere?
Making plans
Running out into a blizzard to buy gifts
Traveling and staying in a hotel
Wrapping gifts but running out of gift tags
Buying stocking stuffers
Making stuffing and a turkey or a pan of lasagna
Shoveling snow
Getting frostbite
Asking people what they want/need and getting a blank stare or "I don't know"
Putting up the Xmas tree
Getting a hacking cough
Hanging the stockings
Taking down the Xmas tree
Looking at Christmas lights
Sitting in pain as "Ernest Saves Christmas" is playing
Dealing with anxiety when the coffee shop is closed for the holiday, there's no work, the grocery store is closed, etc.
Can we just skip everything this year? Or maybe I just need to get started sooner?
